Sometimes we can feel like we're at a crossroads, struggling to make a difficult decision. Or going round and round the roundabout, despite our best efforts to not miss the turning.
We want to move forwards, or go in a new direction...but we just don't know how.
Whatever it is, talking to a trained and experienced professional, who knows what it feels like to be stuck and frustrated, not knowing how to move forwards, can really help.
I tend to get a sense of who someone is, what's important to them, and where they're stuck, quite quickly. Regardless of a deeper intuition, I’m good at reading between the lines, which means that I may be able to gain clarity where you have struggled because you're so close to the problem.
focus on the only thing that's important during our time talking - how you feel and the problem at hand.
Whilst some people are initially hesitant to talk on the phone rather than face-to-face, most people actually find that they are able to open up more easily because it maintains a level of anonymity, and they forget after the first few minutes and feel relaxed.
You can throw your trackies on, make yourself a cuppa, and get cosy in your own home, with your furry friend next to you, and we'll just talk about what’s on your mind. I will listen and ask questions that will help move your thought process along.
You can let your thoughts fall out and I will catch them for you.

I offer a personable approach to therapy and use humanistic informed theory with psychodynamic foundations. I understand when to gently challenge and offer an alternative perspective, or help you look a little closer at the more difficult things that you may have become so used to pushing away, or you didn't have a safe space for them to go.
For therapy to be healthy and helpful to you, we both need to be mutually invested in the following things - honesty, respect, a desire to search for your truth, a sense of humour, compassion, and empathy.
I trained at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling, a diploma accredited by both UKCP and BACP, and qualified in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling (merit, DipHIC, MBACP). I also have additional training and experience in, but not limited to - self-esteem, depression, narcissistic abuse, toxic relationships, divorce/separation, love attachment wounds, self-confidence, relationships and communication issues, assault, anxiety, and relationship trauma.
There is daytime availability for you to come to the cottage for your sessions, and I offer later appointments (after 4pm) via phone and Zoom - my last appointment of the day is 6pm (starting time).
